a perfect backdrop for the full out sprint. Each year this
race includes "sprint specialists" and dozens of
first timers. The calm ocean swim, relatively flat bike and
completely flat run make for a perfect PR or introduction
to the sport of triathlon. |

yard Swim: Quick
and easy, the ocean swim parallels the beach. The average
water temperature is 64 degrees. Wetsuits are optional
but getting them off may negate any time advantages of
wearing one. |

Mile Bike
Obey all traffic laws this
is an open course. It's very fast,
no hills (well, just one in front of the Four Seasons Biltmore).
This out and back course goes so quickly theres no time
for water. |

back it's that simple. You can get water at mile
one if you dare to slow down. |

There
is a change in this years Long Course Bike Course.
Jameson Road is closed due to a bridge reconstruction project.
The New Course
will stay the same until you reach North Jameson Road.
There will be a detour on North Jameson making a LEFT turn on HIXON. Continue
along HIXON as it becomes SAN LEANDRO LN. A RIGHT turn within the
next 0.1 mile to continue on SAN LEANDRO LN. all the way to Sheffield. At the
STOP sign turn LEFT onto Sheffield and continue as before.
