This Adventours excursion begins in San Diego, California, where we’ll load into the rugged 10-wheel Adventure Machine and begin our journey into the Mexican wilderness.

Explore Baja is a camping experience, rugged and original. The coastal area offers secluded sandy beaches and tranquil azure waters. Coastal day options include snorkeling, sea kayaking, beach combing, sunbathing, fishing, exploring the island lagoons and much more. You will have the pleasure of sleeping under the stars while listening to the sounds of the desert night. Inland activities will include trekking, hiking, bouldering and mountain biking through unmapped canyons and vast desert terrain. Each day will conclude with a hearty and healthy meal, prepared by the group, made from fresh local foods and any great catch of the day.

The Adventure Machine is a specialized surplus military vehicle adapted for long range travel and perfect for exploration. This journey will take us on-road and off-road through the Baja peninsula and Pacific Coast. The Adventure Machine allows us to go beyond traditional boundaries, leaving others behind as we explore the rugged and vast backcountry. Overlanding is adventurous, unpredictable and exciting. You can expect to travel through remote and rarely visited areas.

Explore Baja Mexico includes roundtrip transportation from San Diego, California (shuttle from Santa Barbara to San Diego is available – call for details). All tolls, ferry costs, vehicle entries, camping fees and professional guides are included. Amenities include three meals a day, snacks, water and refreshments, dining canopy, tables, lamps, gas stoves, group cooking equipment, coolers, first aid gear, and portable showers. In addition, Adventours can provide bicycles, kayaks and snorkeling and paddling gear. Please note that as these items are limited, you are encouraged to bring your own personal (AOE approved) equipment. You will need to supply your own sleeping and camping gear. You may also wish to bring a small amount of money for local pub stops.

Upon booking the Explore Baja Mexico tour, Adventours will send you a confirmation packet that will detail what to expect and suggested packing lists. Adventours can also arrange air travel, ground transportation and lodging in San Diego for pre-trip and post-trip nights.
