Adventours Outdoor Excursions specializes in helping corporations effect
lasting, positive change through recreational team building activities.
Studies have shown that traditional "lecture" style training formats have
an information retention rate of around 25%. The experiential learning
programs that AOE offers utilize a "learn by doing" approach that has a
retention level that reaches upwards of 75%. This hands-on format is what
makes all of AOE's customized recreational packages not only fun and
challenging but extremely effective.
Our mission is to deliver dynamic programs which foster positive growth
within individuals, groups and organizations. We feature engaging and
productive learning activities designed to build mutual trust, support,
teamwork and group confidence. You can expect to gain a heightened
awareness of what motivates your employees, plus a better understanding of
your company's objectives as well as each staff member's role in meeting
them.
After a day (or many) of reaching challenging goals together, participants
master vital problem solving skills that are easily incorporated into the
office environment. Coworkers leave with a new understanding of how
powerful and effective teamwork can be in reaching a common goal. The
synergy that the team experiences invariably carries back to the
workplace.
AOE's nationally acclaimed team building programs are suitable for all
ages and abilities, and our knowledgeable and experienced facilitators
ensure that every experience is a rewarding one. Activities are custom
designed to motivate employees to combine their talents and perform at
their best, individually and as team players. All programs, which may last
from several hours to several days, culminate in a celebration of
recognition and success.

Components of these activities may include the following:
(Remember, not all these components are included in each theme. However,
each of them lend themselves to both Fun and Structural programs – we’ll
help you decide which are most appropriate for your team and determine
your comfort level with each.)
Mental Initiates: Activities that challenge a group to communicate,
problem-solve, cooperate and acknowledge resources within the group in
order to achieve a common goal.
Physical Initiatives: Activities designed to challenge individuals'
physical limitations to the extent that he or she must rely on trust and
communication with other group members in order to successfully complete
them.
Low Elements: Structural devices built near ground level, which are best
negotiated through the combined effort of the group. Used in conjunction
with mental and physical initiatives, low elements provide a unique
environment for exploring group issues of all kinds.
High Elements: Structural devices suspended twenty or more feet above
ground, providing a high adventure experience. Progressing from the mental
and physical initiatives to the low elements and then to the exciting high
elements gives the group a chance to develop techniques for providing
emotional support for each other as individuals choose to accept
challenges and reach their goals. Structural integrity is assured through
approved industry construction standards, equipment and techniques.

facilitators will go to work designing a program based on leading your
team through unforgettable experiences that will help them learn to work
together, solve problems, improve team productivity and moral and most of
all have FUN doing it.
